They were crushed by the army and the freikorps. Over 1000 workers were killed.

The communist party had weak leadership and an unclear plan. Protests did not have widespread support.
Why wasn’t there a major impact on the communist party’s actions?
Unrest never seriously threatened the Weimar governments control of Germany.
