Recalling a memory of ice skating and how lit it was then reflects, and gains maturity and a greater awareness of nature
When is it set
At twighlight which is a liminal time which emphasise the moment of change in the poem (the melancholy reflection)

Metaphor of hunting which represents individual experience of ice skating almost taken out of themselves, they are in awe and overwhelmed by this—> sublime
The word pack links to the wolves but also the people he’s with almost like he has been connected with them like a wolves bond.

Quote about the sound at the end, which shows the narrator acknowledges the change emotion but lets it happen. The sound juxtaposes the “bellowing” of the hunt, but presents the romantic understand of the Highs and Lows and that’s just being human. Maturity. The double negative imply he’s not engaging but just observing and living in the moment
