the content cannot be easily amended by merely passing a law; undergo rigid process
Rigid (Inelastic)
can be amended or altered in the same way as other laws; easily to amend
Flexible (Elastic)
It contained 14 “titles” and it justified the first revolutionary government in the Philippines
MALOLOS CONSTITUTION
It had 18 articles and it stipulated the establishment of the Commonwealth of the Philippines
1935 Constitution
It had 9 articles and it directly expressed the “policy of uniform taxation” all over the country
1943 Constitution
It had 17 articles and created a ministerial form of government
1973 Constitution
- Based on Proclamation No. 3 of Corazon Aquino.
- Provisional Freedom Constitution to immediately amend the 1973 Constitution
1986 Constitution
It has 18 articles and the current basis of all Philippine statutory laws
1987 Constitution
the individual rights spells out more particularly which may be used for protection in case of arbitrary actions of those in power.
