Chartered Legal Executive
A fellow of chartered legal executives (cilex). They can become partners in law firms regulated by the SRA and they are eligible to apply for judicial appointments
Solicitor
A legal practitioner represented by the law society. They give legal advice and assistance to a wide range of clients
Barristers
Independent legal advisors. Their training and regulation is set by the bar standards board (Bsb)which publishes code of conduct for barristers. A barrister must be a member of one of four inns of court. Their work includes advocacy and preparing legal opinions for solicitors

A judge who has met the judicial appointment eligibility criteria for at least 7 years

Judges of the Supreme Court
District judges
Full time judges who deal with cases in the county court. They also sit in the family court

Supervises the legal ombudsman, a body which is required to resolve complaints about legal services for free
Solicitors regulation authority and code of conduct
The body that Regulates solicitors. It’s code of conduct contains detailed rules of professional conduct for solicitors and their employees
Legal services board lsb
Oversees the regulation of legal activities in England and Wales including the bar council , the law society and cilex. It is independent of government
