A

Makkah was located in a valley in western Arabia, like a desert. It was a trading city and became prosperous when Muhammad was born.Everybody trusted Muhammad and called him al-Amin (the Trustworthy) Merchants became rich by trading with Yemen, Seria and Africa. Makkah was a religious center.

Explain the ties most Arabs shared during this time. Culture, government, and language.

A

Most Arabs lived a nomadic life in the desert. The had no government but were loyal to their tribes.So if one tribe killed someone from another tribe they would take revenge. This led to long periods of fighting among tribes. The Arabs were not united as a nation but they shared language, poetry and celebrated their land and history.
