when was the supremacy of the house of commons over the house of lords established

A
  • early 20th century
  • abolished the Lords’ right of veto over legislation that had passed the Commons
  • Lords would only be able to delay legislation for 2 years. In 1949, another Parliament Act reduced this to just 1 year.
