Healthy People 2030

A

The 42 topic areas and 1,200 objectives are discussed in more detail elsewhere (see Chapter 1 describing Healthy People 2020). These objectives and targets provide guidelines for communities to follow in order to promote the health of their members. By encouraging collaboration across communities, empowering individuals to make better choices, and measuring progress toward set benchmarks, Healthy People 2020 can be used as a road map for achieving longer and healthier lives for all Americans.
