Q

Describe how the nervous system works.

A
  • Receptors sends electrical impulses (warnings) through sensory neurones
  • It then passed onto a relay neurone and then a motor neurone.
  • From the motor neurone it goes to the effectors and then responses or reflexes are made.

8
Q

What are synapses?

A
  • The joining of two neurones (nerve cells that are ending and beginning)
  • The nerve signal is transferred by chemicals that diffuse across the gap which set off an electrical signal in the new neurone.
