During the Neolithic period people began to use a type of stone called Porcellanite, which was stronger and heavier than Flint. It allowed the Neolithic people to make better tools and so craftsmanship improved
Wattle and daub
This is a method of building walls for which we have evidence in the Neolithic period, it is when mud and straw are plastered over walls (woven with branches) to cover holes and draughts
Quern stone
This was a stone used to grind grain into flour to make bread, one large round stone on top of another, the bottom stone is stationary and the top stone is moved around, usually by a wooden handle
The Neolithic period / New Stone Age
It lasted from about 4000 BCE to 2000 BCE. This was the period when people farmed and began to use better stone tools. As. Rescue of the introduction of farming people began to settle in one place.
