- 1206 was when he was given the title Genghis Khan meaning “Ruler of all within the seas” and “Ruler of all men”
- Made strict laws over his people called Yassa
- He demanded unity from all tribes under his control, in which disciplined his tribesman
- didn’t promote leaders positions because of their power or wealth instead success on the battle field

- His successes was rebuilding the Grand Canal, creating an academy, offices, trading, supporting arts and sciences, and introducing a postal system
