Q

How does classical conditioning work?

A

UCS = UCR
Food = pleasure

NS = No change
Mum = in baby

UCR + NS = UCR
FOOD + MUM = pleasure

MUM = PLEASURE

THE mum is now able to give a conditioned response
As the child sees the mother as someone who gives pleasure to her.

Q

AO3 : Lorenz and Harlow findings

A

They both found that attachment is formed because of comfort and imprinting onto the animal not due to feeding the animal
Contact comfort more important than food

Q

AO3 : schaffer andEmerson study

A

They found that babies were still mostly attached to their mother even though most cases the mothers were not the ones that fed the baby this disproves the learning theory

Q

A03 reductionistic approach

A

The learning theory ignores all the other factors such as reciprocity and interactional synchrony are not taken into account
a limitation because it doesn’t consider these factors and so it is suggesting that these factors are not true but actually these factors are the theory isn’t
