A
Following the call of Jesus in though, word and deed. After Pentecost the disciples became known as the apostles

What happened in then “Calling Of The Disciples”?
A
- After John was put in prison, Jesus went to Galilee and proclaimed the news of God.
- He said “the time has come. The kingdom of God is near. Repent and believe the good news.
- Jesus walked beside the Sea of Galilee and saw Simon and Andrew casting a net into the water, for they were fisher men.
- Jesus said “come, follow me. I will make you fishers of men”
- They followed Jesus.
- Further on they spotted John and James of Zebedee on a boat. Jesus called on them and they left their boat and father with hired men.

What happened in the appointing of the twelve disciples?
A
- Jesus went up the mountain side and called to him those he wanted.
- He appointed twelve-designating them disciples- that they might be with him and that he might send them out to preach and to have authority to drive out demons.
- the disciples were Peter (Simon), James, John (Boanerges), Andrew, Philip, Bartholomew, Mattew,Thomas, etc…
