what are the attachments of the omohyoid?
posteriorly: the scapula
and runs underneath the sternocleidomastoid muscle and then hooks around a tendon attached to the clavicle
then the superior belly of the omohyoid attaches to the hyoid.
what are the attachments of the sternohyoid muscle?
the sternum/sternoclavicular joint to the hyoid.
what is the attachment of the sternothyroid muscle?
the manubrium of the sternum to the thyroid bone
what is the function of the sternohyoid?
to depress the hyoid
what is the function of the sternothroid?
to depress the thyroid
where is the sternothyroid?
behind the sternohyoid.
what are the attachments of the thyrohyoid muscle?
the thyroid cartilage to the hyoid.
where is the thyrohyoid muscle?
it is above the sternothyroid muscle. (almost like a continuation of the sternothyroid muscle)
