God breathed His Word to the authors so we have a book that is coherent, inerrant, and non-contradictory.
2 Timothy 3:16
All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness.

Above all, you must understand that no prophecy of Scripture came about by the prophet’s own interpretation of things. For prophecy never had its origin in the human will, but prophets, though human, spoke from God as they were carried along by the Holy Spirit.

The work of the Holy Spirit to assist us in understanding the Word of God which is the revelation.

1 Corinthians 2:10-13
The Spirit searches all things, even the deep things of God. For who knows a person’s thoughts except their own spirit within them? WORD OF GOD and SCRIPTURES
What is the relationship between the Word of God and the Scriptures?

WORD OF GOD can refer to any special revelation: Jesus as word, the spoken word of God, or the written word of God.
*Scripture is not part man’s message and part God’s message. It doesn’t contain God’s word, it IS his word.
John 1:1

What criteria was used for determining which books were included/excluded in the canon of scripture?

These are the books that were accepted by the Jews, the early Church, and written by apostles or close associates.
The Bible is the authority over the church.

For a book to be in the canon, it must have divine authorship. We can recognize it like a cop recognizes counterfeit currency, but we cannot declare it so. - Grudem p62
