A

People in the countryside were fed up of not having enough to eat, so they ransacked shops and the places of people suspected of hoarding

When did the October Days happen, and what happened on each day?

A

1st October - Louis holds a feast for his troops in which the revolutionary cockade is trampled on
5th October - 7000 women marched on Versailles from Paris to put their complaints to the King, they were joined by 20,000 National Guards led by Lafayette
6th October - Louis was forced to agree to the August Decrees and the Declaration of Rights, the women stormed the palace and beheaded all the guards, Louis and his family were carted to Paris
