- Constant color scheme
- Some kind of design/template (not plain white background)
- No clutter
- Simple and consistent animation (or none)
- Unobtrusive transitions
- At least 1 picture
- Heading/title and main text

- One concept per slide (e.g this one is all about the text)
- Short & simple text - no complete sentences
- No paragraphs of text!
- 5 to 7 words per line
- 5 to 7 bullets per page
- Skip “a”, “an”, “the” where possible

Tips - Presenting 1#

- Practice beforehand so you know your content
- Title slide - introduce yourself and the topic.
- Provide an agenda (e.g “These are the parts of my presentation.”)
- Have a “Handout” for your classmates.
- Use a cordless mouse so you aren’t tethered
- Maintain eye contact
- Take your time
