Before Reading

A
  1. Read the title
  2. Read any subheadings throughout the text
  3. Look at any pictures
  4. Read the captions to any pictures
  5. Flip through and scan read the text.
  6. Read any comprehension question you have to answer and highlight the keywords.
  7. Activate prior knowledge - what do I already know about the topic?
  8. Make any predictions.
