- Geography–> Islam spread even further than Alexander had, and was able to gather immense volumes of knowledge and ideas
- The Qur’an–> The qur’an encouraged the study of nature and promoted seeking knowledge
- Abbasid empire and translation –> Abbasid empire was united under one language, and translated lots of other cultures information into Arabic
