Saw it as a perfect source of fighters
Why was the GAA popular again in the 1900s
-IRB not as prominent
-GAA created links with organisations such as the Gaelic League by promoting the Irish language
-new rules were appealing
-Croke Park (jones road at the time) was bought in q913 from major events
Impact of the GAA
-revived Irish sports
-linked sports and nationalism
-provided soccial and physical outlets for people
-recruitment for the home rule and the IRB
-many members would be involved in future efforts of independence
