What was Bastille day?
When a mob attacked and seized Bastille killing lots of guards on July 14, 1789
What was the reign of terror?
A time period in France where lots of people were killed.
What were Napoleons peace time accomplishments?
Napoleon managed to bring back peace to France, gain trust and overtake lots of land while leading the country to great military success.
What were three mistakes napoleon made?
1: Invading Russia unprepared
(It killed tons of people, got him exiled)
2: Losing the battle of Traflagar ( Britain got the title of best navy, and he should have just left it be)
3: The continental system (It lead our ports to get shut down and watched, it was a mistake because he should have held them off or not done it at all)
What was the goal of the congress of Vienna?
To create a new European order
What was the significance of the battle of Traflagar?
It was huge and lead the British to know they had the better Navy, and lead to closing our ports.
What was the continental system?
A plan to strengthen Europe and weaken Britain.
Why did the revolution happen?
The revolution happened because the peasants were sick of unfair treatment and wanted equality.
What were some important points in the revolution?
The invasion of Russia, killing of the royal family, reign of terror, and the exile of Napoleon.
