A
- The group at little in common apart from their dislike of somerset’s methods and policies
- The faction included paget, Warwick, warwick was opposed to somerset’s religious policies and saw opportunity to take power while paget was concerned about Somerset ignoring his advice

Somerset’s loss of power
A
- As somerset’s hold on power declined he retreated to Hampton court with Edward on 5th of October
- Edward fell ill claimed he was a prisoner and left his uncle
- Edward calimed Somerset threatened to cause riots if he was removed from power

The victory of Warwick
A
- Although Somerset was removed warwick’s triumph was far from guaranteed
- By January 1550 the leading Catholics and earls has been dismissed and Warwick has become Lord presdeint of the councils he places his own supporters in important positions around Edward.

Execution of Somerset
A
- Warwick released Somerset from jail his goods restored and his daughter married warwick’s son
- Somerset continued to plot to recover his position and led the privy Council to execute him January 22nd 1552
