Nope…they pretty much only visited nearby towns.
Why do you think Europeans started travelling to new lands.
As more people started to read and write, they could find out that all these amazing places actually existed. So they became inspired to go out and explore.
Which technology also encouraged more people to travel.
They learned to build bigger ships that could reach further distances.
How did trade affect the Renaissance.
As people learned about wonderful new places, they wanted to trade with them. They wanted their awesome new spices….like cinnamon… I mean…imagine pancakes without cinnamon!!!
