Many SA men went to fight the war

Jan Smuts (United Party) said that it was impossible to keep the Africans out of the cities so they would need to scrap the Pass Laws.

There were elections (1948)

They made even stricter laws and APARTHEID was born…..

Some chose violence to fight the apartheid government.
