Q
What steps happens in your body when blood levels are too high?
A
- Pancreas detects blood glucose levels are too high
- It releases a hormone called insulin
- Insulin travels to the bloodstream
- Body cells take in more glucose for respiration and the liver keeps excess glucose and stores it as glycogen
- Blood glucose levels are returned to normal homeostatic levels

- Liver converts glycogen back to glucose
- Blood glucose levels are returned to normal homeostatic levels
