- to put things in the wrong order or mix them up
- to confuse somebody
- muddle along: to continue doing something without any clear plan or purpose
- muddle through: to achieve your aims even though you do not know exactly what you are doing and do not have the correct equipment, knowledge, etc; lúng túng
- a state of mental confusion
