Q

What three things lead to unconscious decisions about user experience?

A

1) design by default - I.e. Things are separated in the company database but that doesn’t mean they need to be in the design
2) design by mimicry - following conventions from other products that actually might not work well for your product
3) design by fiat - when personal preference instead of user needs drive up decisions
