What are the indications of a failed alternator?

A

The loss of an alternator is indicated by an annunciator light and a zero indication on the loadmeter.

Describe the electrical system

A

14-volt electrical system with push-pull type circuit breakers.
12-volt, 35 amp hour battery
Two 70-amp engine driven alternators
Voltage regulators maintain constant 14-volt output from each alternator.
The plane can still operate on one alternator.

Will the engines continue to run with the alternator and battery master switches turned off?

A

Yes, because ignition is provided through the use of engine driven magnetos which are independent of the aircrafts electrical system and each other.

Describe the stall warning system.

A

The Seminole has two electric stall detectors.
They are on the left wing.
The inboard detector goes off at flaps 25* or 40*
The outboard detector goes off at flaps 0 or 10
There are two tabs to provide warning at varied angles of attack.
Deactivated on the ground by a squat switch on the left main gear.
