Process by which foods you have eaten are changed into the simplest forms. The flow of digestive juices (saliva, gastric juices, pancreatic juices) add liquid and enzymes that break complex nutrients into small parts
Absorption
The passage of the products of digestion through the walls of the intestinal tract into the circulatory system. The body’s circulatory Carrie’s the nutrients to the cells throughout the body
Metabolism
This is the chemical process that takes place within the cells when the nutrients are used by the body
