13million people in Mozambique don’t have access to clean water
21.5 million don’t have access to good sanitation
4200 children die every year from diarrhoea - water and sanitation levels so poor
Why does unsafe water affect development?
Have to travel for water Not enough time to work Fewer people working Less development Can't contribute to economy
Ill Diseases Can't work Children can't go to school Education interrupted Chance of getting good job reduced significantly
