briefly explain what the design argument hopes to show
A
something so perfect and complex like a watch cannot happen by chance, it must have a designer, a watch-maker. this can be expanded to the whole universe which is complex and has God as the designer.

why is the design argument also referred to as the teleological argument?
A
the word ‘telos’ is a Greek word meaning purpose ‘purpose’ and the design argument suggests intentional purpose.
