Profit drives producrion and therefore dominates labor; working class is pressed by more powerful group; eventually labor will defeat capatilists.

Not all critical theorists are Marxist, may still subscribe to ideas though
Language of Marxist
individual expression/ controlled by dominate class; defines oppression of marginalized groups
Hegemony
Process of domination, one set of ideas subverts another– Women’s interests are being reinterpreted
Liberal v. Radical Feminism
Liberal- assurance of equal rights/ public image of oppression
Radical: oppression stems from patriarchal system; gender-laden meaning; society devalyes/ marginalizes
