State gov’t
handle issues affecting their state like schools or local elections

Second Amendment
right to bear arms
Third Amendment
no forcing to quater soldiers in their homes without consent
Fourth Amendment
right against unreasonable seizures
Fifth Amendment
due process of law (protection from testifiying in court)
Sixth Amendment
right to a fair and speedy trial
Seventh Amendment
citizens could have a jury trial in federal courts where claims exceeded a certain dollar amount
Eighth Amendment
no cruel or unusual punishments
Nineth Amendment
right are to be protected whether they are listed or not
Tenth Amendment
power not claimed in the Constitution for the federal gov’t would be placed in the hands of the people
