What is mary’s role as the model of the church?

A

Mary was chosen to be the mother of Jesus. She is an example of purity. She teaches us how to

Q

What does it mean to say the Church is the Body of Christ?

A

St. Paul describes the Church as the ‘Body of Christ’ showing us that Jesus’ work on earth continues through the Church and that all people in the Church
have a role to play (like parts of the body). The Church is a community rather than a building.
