Where did the children’s Crusade occur and why?
Birmingham Alabama, it was known to be very racist and pro segregation
Why did MLK choose to do it in Birmingham?
The idea was, that if it could be done in Birmingham, it could be done anywhere

When he asked who would be willing to join the crusade, what happened?
No adults were willing to join as they were employed by whites, if they were seen claiming to be equal of them, they would be fired.
What happened when the children saw that no adults were willing to join the crusade?
All of the children volunteered as they desperately want to change for the future and couldn’t stand by and let nothing happen.

- as the whole event was publicised, the people of America saw how brutal the police were being not a need to POC but furthermore, children
- John F Kennedy saw this on the news and decided to rule segregation as illegal
- to keep the momentum of the civil rights movement going, King produced his “I have a dream “speech
- Improvements happen slowly in Birmingham, the KKK did bomb the church killing four girls of colour
