An empire is a group of countries or states which are all controlled/ ruled by the same leader.
What is Imperialism?
Imperialism is a policy to seek and maintain an empire.
What is the definition of a “Mother Country”
A “Mother Country” is the leading country in an empire.
What is the definition of a “Colony”
A “Colony” is a country which is ruled by the “Mother Country.”
What is a mutiny?
A mutiny is when armed forces refuse to obey orders and revolt.
Why should Britain be proud of its Empire?
-They followed the Bible, by spreading the word of God.
Why should Britain be ashamed of its Empire?
- British customs and ideas were forced on the Natives.
- The Natives’ religions were ignored.
- The Natives were treated very badly.
How long did the journey of “The Triangular Trade” take?
The whole journey took around six months (two months each way).
