What does the Trachea (windpipe) do?
Carries air to the lungs.
What does the nose do?
Has hair to filter dust.
What does the rib do?
Protects the lung.
What does the bronchus do?
Carries air to one lung.
What does the bronchide do?
They are small tubes that takes air around the lung.
What does the alveolus do?
They are tiny air sacs for gas exchange.
What does the muscle (diaphragm) do?
Moves up & down during breathing.
What does the intercostal muscle do?
Allows the rib age to expand and contract during breathing.
What colour does limewater turn to?
From clear ➡️ blue.
Food + oxygen turns into what during respiration?
Carbon dioxide.
Why does exercise increase out breathing rate?
So more oxygen can be taken in to fuel muscles.
What is respiration?
The release of energy from food.
