What was the berlin blockade and what did it lead to
In June 1948 Stalin decided to shut off all the land routes across soviet controlled Germany into Berlin, which was controlled by both the USSR and Trizonia. This caused Berlin to be deprived of supplies
what was the berlin aircraft
The west side of Germany launched the berlin aircraft, which was a plane containing food and supplies. this was successful. by January 1949 over 170,000 tons of tons were sent to Berlin
What were two consequences of the Berlin Crisis
One consequence is the formation of NATO this was because of the increased tensions between the USSR and the USA. many countries were scared of soviet attacks
another consequence was the creation of Federal republic of Germany and the German democratic republic. This was because of the worsened relationship between east and west Germany creating a stronger divide of Germany
