A

It is a homeostatic mechanism controlling various bodily functions at an unconscious level.

A

occulomotor, facial, glossopharyngeal and vagus.

A

12 Thoracic spinal nerves and the first three lumbar spinal nerves.

What does the sympathetic nervous system do?

A

It increases heart rate, dilates blood vessels in muscles and constricts blood vessels in the skin. (Thumping of heart when your frightened)

A

Decreases the heart rate.
