Definition:

Example #1:

Example #2:
A commercial about a specific brand of toothpaste says that 4 out of 5 dentists use it.

A

Definition:
persuade an audience by purposely evoking certain emotions to make them feel the way the author wants them to feel
Example #1:
A teenager tries to convince his parents to buy him a new car by saying if they cared about their child’s safety they’d upgrade him.
Example #2:
A boyfriend begs his girlfriend to stay with him, claiming “If you really love me, you’ll give me time to change my ways.”
