nursing considerations of Tetracyclines
A
- take l hr before or 2-3 hrs after meals
- do not take with antacids, milk, iron
- note expiration date (nephrotoxic)
- protect from light
- monitor renal function
- topical applications may stain clothes
- use contraceptive method in addition to oral contraceptives
