every 1-3 years for female, every 5 years for males aged 20-40 and more often after 40
Dentist
every 6 months
TB
every 2 years. not needed for those at a low risk. every year for healthcare workers
Blood pressure
every 2 years, annually if previously elevated
BMI
every routine healthcare visit
Cholesterol
starting ate age 20, every 5 years
Blood Glucose
Starting at age 45, minimum of every 3 years
Visual Acuity
40 & under: every 3-5 years
40-64: every 2 years
65+: every year
Hearing acuity
periodic as needed
Skin Assessment
20-40: every 3 years by skin specialist
40+: annually
Digital rectal exam
During routine physical exam or annually
Colorectal
50-75: annually for high sensitivity fecal occult blood testing OR every 5 years for sigmoidoscopy OR every 10 years colonoscopy
Cervical Cancer
21-29: pap every 3 years
30-65: every five years
after 65: no testing needed
Breast cancer
20-39: every 3 years for manual examination
40-54: annual mammogram
55+: mammogram every 1-2 years
Clinical Testicular Screening
at each routine health care visit once puberty starts
