1
Q
Assumptions of ANOVA
A
- all populations are normally distributed
- all pops have the same variance
- independent random samples from each population
2
Q
What is the test used in the ANOVA approach?
A
F test
3
Q
What is between group variation and what is within group variation? What do they add up to?
A
Between: treatment variation
Within: error variation
They add up to total variation
4
Q
explain the Bonferroni correction
A
The Bonferroni correction is based on the idea that if
an experimenter is simultaneously testing k hypotheses
on a set of data, the probability of type I error is offset
by testing each hypothesis at a statistical significance
level 1/k times what it would be if only one hypothesis
were tested.
