Washington’s vice president and second presented of the united states. He was part of the third. He was the first vice president and was a leader of the Federalists. He was a partisan.

They believed in a strong federal government
Pinckney treaty
A treaty signed between the Americans and the Spanish, that gave Americans free navigation of the Mississippi river, and the the right to trade in New Orleans. They signed because they panicked.
Sedition
activities aimed at the weakening the established government by inciting resistance or rebellion to authority.

Treaty of Greenville
A treaty between the Americans and the Native Americans was the result of the defeat over the Native Americans. It stated that the Native Americans had to surrender their land.
Proclamation of Neutrality
Washington issued the proclamation of neutrality so that the Americans weren’t able to fight in the war. He also barred french and british warships from american ports.
