What is atmosphere
The earth is wrapped in a layer of gas called atmosphere. It is tied to the earth by gravity so it can’t escape into space

What is air mass
A late mass of air blowing towards us. It brings characteristics to the air
What happens when cold air and warm air collide
When hot and cold air collide the cold air pushes the warm air up making clouds
The water cycle
The journey water takes as it travels from the sea to the sky to the land and back

What is photosynthesis
Water is absorbed by the roots of green plants and carried to the leaves. Leaves taking carbon dioxide and release oxygen back into the atmosphere. The Suns energy turns the carbon dioxide and water I go glucose. Glucose combine with the minerals are called nutrients
What is a food chain
A food chain tells us what is eaten by what in an ecosystem. Every food chair starts with a green plant. Plants are called producers they make their own food by photosynthesis animals are consumers because they eat each other for energy
What is peat
A type of soil that is make up of the particularly decomposed remains of dead plants which have accumulated on top of each other for thousands of years
