A

Due to the preaching of the Great Awakening, the colonists saw that all men were created equal before God. Therefore, no man was better than any other, and all were equal in the sight of the law. This idea that all men deserve equal justice under the law was peter expressed in the Declaration of Independence. The preaching of the Great Awakening also drew the colonist together and made them feel as if they were one nation under God. This feeling would strengthen their desire for independence. Biblical principles also influenced American architecture, music, philosophy, poetry, and history. It gave the colonists a sense of the nobility of hard work. Many Americans became missionaries because of the Great Awakening.
