Respond to the question using “y” pronoun:
Il est en Allemagne?
Usable when talking about a place, or a thing+ prepositions a or any of these:
a, en, dans, sur, sous, chez.
Oui, il y habite

What does it replace?
What are the prepositions that you use “en” for?
Respond to the question using “en”:
Il a des soeurs?
Used when talking about a number of things or when using the prepositions:
de, du, des, de la
Oui, il en a trois
Basics about le, la, l’, les (object direct pronouns)
Respond:
Vous connaissez bien vos cousins maternels?
Vous regardez souvent la tele?
Tip: you will only see la, le, l’, or les before the noun so:
Je les connais bien
Je la regardes
Basics about lui, leur (object indirect pronouns)
Which one would you use?
qu’est ce que la maere demande a sa fille?
Tip: if you see a preposition (normally a), then you will use lui or leur.
Lui= single, leur is plural
There are some verbes that are indirect: demander a, telephoner a, dire a etc…
