A foot consisting of two syllables, the second of which is accented.
Trochaic Meter
Opposite of iambic. The first syllable is accented.
Anapestic
A three syllable foot consisting of two unaccented syllables followed by one accented syllable.
Dactylic Meter
Opposite of anapestic. accented syllable followed by two unaccented syllables.
