a. Ampicillin/sulbactam 3gm IV (peds 75 mg/kg IV)
b. Piperacillin/tazobactam 4.5 gm IV (peds 100 mg/kg IV)

d. Metronidazole 500 mg IV plus ciprofloxacin 400 mg IV

pancreatitis admission criteria
A
- first bout of acute pancreatitis,
- biliary pancreatitis,
- patients needing frequent IV pain medication,
- not tolerating oral intake because of vomiting or increasing pain,
- persistent abnormal vital signs,
- signs of organ insufficiency (inc. creatinine, increased LFTs, lactate won’t go down w/ organ insufficiency)
