What does articulate mean?
Two bones that create a movement
Fibrous joint
No joint cavity. Bones held together by DRCT (fibrous)
Cartilaginous joint
No join cavity. Occurs where bones are joined by cartilage.
Synovial joint
Has joint cavity. Separates articulating bones that are enclosed in CT capsule. Bones are attached by ligaments.
Synarthrosis
Immobile joint
Amphiarthrosis
Slightly mobile
Diarthrosis
Freely mobile joint
