Anxiety
Generalized state of apprehension or foreboding
Panic Disorder
Repeated & unexpected periods of intense fear/discomfort
Panic attacks – anxious reactions accompanied by physical symptoms

Avoids being in places where escape/help might be difficult/unavailable
Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder
Presence of intrusive, unwanted thoughts (obsessions) and/or repetitive behaviors (compulsions)
Obsessions and/or compulsions are time consuming (> 1 hour) or cause distress
Body Dysmorphic Disorder
Preoccupation with imagined/exaggerated defects or flaws in physical appearance
Believe that others view them as ugly/ unattractive
Perform repetitive behaviors (mirror checking)
May take extreme measures to correct perceived defect
Trichotillomania
Recurrent pulling out of hair resulting in loss
Repeated attempts to decrease/stop it
Excoriation
Recurrent skin picking resulting in lesions

Persistent difficulty discarding/parting with possessions, regardless of value
Perceived need to save items
Results in congested/cluttered active living areas

Diminished interest/pleasure in activities
Significant increase or decrease of weight/appetite

Increase in goal-directed activity
Excessive involvement in activities with high potential for consequences
Bipolar II Disorder
Occurrence of at least 1 hypomanic episode
Lasts at least 4 days
Occurrence of at least 1 major depressive episode
Cyclothymic Disorder
Mild mood swings for at least 2 years
Criteria for major depressive, manic, or hypomanic episode have never been met
Anorexia Nervosa
Restriction of energy intake, leading to significantly low body weight
Fear of gaining weight/becoming fat
Disturbance in self-perceived weight/shape
Bulimia Nervosa
Recurrent binge eating episodes
Recurrent compensatory behaviors to prevent weight gain
Both occur once per week for 3 months
Self-evaluation is influenced by shape/weight
Binge-Eating Disorder
Recurrent binge eating episodes
Occur once per week for 3 months
3 or more symptoms
eating more rapidly
eating until uncomfortably full
eating large amounts when not hungry
eating alone because embarrassed
